INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Therapy Services, Rooted in Care

Therapy is more than talking - it’s about having a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and safe to explore what’s on your heart. My approach blends compassion with practical tools, helping you untangle patterns, heal old wounds, and move toward a more grounded, authentic life.

PERSONALIZED SUPPORT

Focused Areas of Care

  • Anxiety

Anxiety can look like the worrying that happens right before a big event or a new situation. It can also look like an ever-present worry goblin, causing you to question yourself, lose sleep, feel irritable, and constantly strive for perfection. Whether you’re dealing with situational anxiety or generalized anxiety, therapy can provide you with the tools to better understand and manage those symptoms. With support, you can learn to respond to anxiety with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

  • Emotional Neglect

Emotional neglect isn’t always about what happened, it’s often about what didn’t happen. You may have grown up feeling like your needs didn’t matter - praised for being independent, yet emotionally overlooked. As an adult, this can show up as low self-worth, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from your own emotions. Therapy can help you understand those patterns, reconnect with your needs, and begin to feel more seen. By others and by yourself.

  • Family of Origin

The dynamics you grew up with don’t just stay in the past. They shape how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to stress or conflict. Maybe you were the peacemaker, the overachiever, or the one who kept everything inside. Even if you’ve built a very different life as an adult, old roles and wounds can linger. Therapy offers a space to unpack those early influences, understand how they show up now, and begin to relate to yourself and others from a place of greater freedom and choice.

  • Highly Sensitive Person

Have you been told that you’re “too sensitive”? Do you feel deeply, become overstimulated by sensory information, and possess an abundance of empathy?! You might be HSP. Research suggests that 15-20% of humans are highly sensitive and that even certain animal species can be classified as highly sensitive! Therapy is a great way to delve deeper into understanding who you are and to discover strategies for embracing and nurturing your sensitivity trait.

  • Perfectionism

Perfectionism often hides behind high standards, constant striving, and a critical inner voice. On the outside, it may look like success, but inside it can feel exhausting, lonely, and never enough. Over time, perfectionism can chip away at self-worth and make it hard to rest, connect, or feel present. In therapy, we can explore where these patterns began, understand the parts of you that are trying to protect through perfection, and practice new ways of relating to yourself that invite more ease, compassion, and freedom.

  • Relationships

No one said that relationships are easy, right? Sure, some can feel easy (e.g. the friendship that can withstand the test of time and space) while others have us wondering if we’d be better off on an island by ourselves. Therapy offers the opportunity to explore your relationship patterns and adult attachment style, learn healthy boundaries, enhance communication skills, and much more. With curiosity and support, you can begin to build relationships that feel more balanced, connected, and true to who you are.

  • Self-Loss

When your energy is focused on keeping others happy, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself. What begins as people-pleasing to stay connected or avoid conflict can, over time, leave you feeling invisible, resentful, or unsure of who you are. This self-loss might look like silencing your needs, shrinking yourself, or living by others’ expectations instead of your own. In therapy, we’ll explore the roots of these patterns and gently reconnect you with your authentic voice, desires, and boundaries so you can care for others without losing yourself in the process.

  • Trauma

Trauma can show up in many ways. It might feel like an open wound after a distressing experience, or it could be a quiet undercurrent that’s shaped your thoughts, emotions, and relationships for as long as you can remember. Complex trauma, often stemming from repeated or ongoing harm, can make it hard to trust, feel safe, or break free from patterns that no longer serve you. Whether you're navigating the effects of a single event or the lasting impact of long-term trauma, therapy can help you process your experiences, foster self-compassion, and move toward healing on your own terms.
